John Clarke is a director of SHP and leads the facility planning arm of the business. John was, for 10 years, a partner in Temple Cox Nicholls Architects, one of Birmingham's leading Architectural practices, and part of the Aedas Group of Companies. Since the formation of SHP in 1996, John has concentrated on providing consultancy services to the wider healthcare industry.

John has proven success in the implementation, planning and design of the full range of healthcare facilities including University Hospitals, Major Tertiary Centres, District General Hospitals, Specialist Services Hospitals, Community Hospitals, Mental Health Facilities and Primary Care Facilities.

John has also been actively involved in advising the Public Sector and its Private Sector Partners in the PFI arena since 1995, and has been acknowledged as one of the leading advisors in the country.
